Preferred genres
There aren’t any specific genres that I’m looking to review, but a novel that fits somewhere in the following tag cloud (and the bigger the tag the better) will definitely have a greater priority in my TBR pile:
The rating system
I am definitely not a literary critic, but I like to think of myself as someone that can appreciate a good book. I cannot promise you I will give you a positive review, but I can promise you that I will give you a honest one. This being said, here is the five-star rating system I currently use when reviewing books, and the corresponding meaning of each rating:
Superb, I have nothing by praise and will possibly even reread it
Great book, I definitely recommend it
Good, not great. I don’t regret the time spent reading it, but neither is this one of the books I would take with me on a deserted island
Wouldn’t recommend it, not that good
Complete waste of time, stay as far away as possible from this one
